Loads of minerals, stones, and herbal tea can be found in the delightful aromatics of the 1999 Riesling Cuvee Sainte Catherine. This wine has lovely breadth to its rich, plump, and deep personality. It is lush, rich, and loaded with liquid mineral-like flavors. This well-delineated wine is medium to full-bodied, and has an admirably persistent finish. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2010. Musky, oily, very ripe aromas of tangerine and pineapple. Rich and concentrated, but nearly as dry as the 2000. Slightly lower acidity here produces a somewhat rounder impression, but the wine mineral core gives it shape and grip. Pure, harmonious and long. Quite different in style from the '00, but of roughly equal quality.
