Note di degustazione
I loved the 2005 Hermitage from Yann Chave, and this full-bodied, broad, expansive beauty offers sensational notes of blackberries, tobacco leaf, olive, smoked meats and black currants. Still youthful in color, it expands beautifully on the palate, has a ripe, layered personality, and the balance and concentration to keep for another decade.

Opaque ruby. Explosive floral aromas of ripe red and dark berries and suave baking spices. Tightly focused bitter cherry and cassis flavors are framed by youthful tannins, gaining sweetness with extended aeration. Like it did last year, minerality leads the way, adding energy to the deep berry flavors.
Deep purple ruby. Aromatic pepper, fruit and spice leaps out of the glass in a outburst of fresh purity. Firm, quite tight but very concentrated. A great combination of freshness and power, and already so easy to taste and enjoy. (JH) £357 dpd Montrachet
Inky ruby. Explosively perfumed nose shows potent cassis, strawberry, violet and graphite scents. Very silky in texture, with abundant red and dark berry flavors braced by zesty minerality and fresh acidity. Really stains the palate, finishing with a vibrant, almost salty mineral quality. This was to have been bottled in January of 2007.
