2005 Hermitage Blanc Rocoules

Light gold. Powerful, superripe peach, apricot and peach aromas, with weightier notes of honey and toasted nuts. Deep in ripe pit fruit flavor, and thick and chewy in texture. Undeniably concentrated, impressive and long, but I prefer the relative elegance of the "normal" bottling today. The vines here are 50 to 60 years old and the yield was under 30 hl/ha.
