From Kate Dugdale's cellar. Subtle and scented. Herbal, dried flowers. Masses of fruit sweetness and sweet chestnuts with good freshness to balance. Mouth-watering, gently chewy and so scented on the palate. Gorgeous even if fairly high in acidity, almost tart but not quite, suggesting the fruit may be drying out. (JH)

I have had glorious bottles of this but this one was a bit medicinal and minty. Still quite rich but definitely on the wane. (JR)
Dark brick. Violets. Game. Tender. Lovely wine that no-one could object to. Fresh, jewel-bright. Hint of torrefaction. Very complete. Brisk and lively. Quite impressively lone. Intriguing. You want to drink more! Long, doesn’t give everything initially. (JR)
Extremely rich and sweet. So full of life it was meaty in flavour with a totally captivating jewelly texture. Real Rhône concentration, but then the wine slowly dried out in the glass suggesting it was slightly over the hill. (JR)
