Punteggio 17/20 · Da bere 2010-2022, Jancis Robinson MW, Aug 2023

Full bottle just 1,250 g. Cork intractable. Funnel, coffee filter and decanter to the rescue. Chosen by the majority of the party as an aperitif rather than the Dom P Rosé 2009 on offer. Fully mature (but not TDN) Riesling nose of great purity. This bottle was losing fruit but was still super-refreshing and appetising. The acidity is such that this now tasted like a dry wine. Very delicate. Perfect for a summer lunch in 40 °C heat. (JR)

Empty bottle (cork got stuck in the neck) 495 g. Some tartrates on the inside of the bottle. Bright greenish gold. Tense nose that's still fresh but the fruit sweetness has faded so that you could almost present this as a dry wine. Lemon citrus notes. Very clean. Feather-light and bracing. We're serving this on a cold winter's night and I must admit it would probably be more suitable in summer! (JR)

Greenish gold. Lots of mature blackcurrant-leaf Riesling aromas. This is almost dry now and is super-refreshing, if a little spindly. No point in keeping it. Featherlight. Too light to serve with food, I would have thought. (JR)

Very short cork with some tartrate deposit on it after lying on it side. Pale greenish straw. Very developed nose with a hint of petrol. Featherlight with some blackcurrant leaf aromas. Tastes bone dry by now with the fruit having faded. Sharp acidity. A very delicate aperitif but probably past its best in terms of fruit expression. (JR)
