Very nice with sweet apricot and mineral notes on the nose, the 2003 E. Guigal Condrieu is medium to full bodied with a viscous, full feel and a medium finish.

(bottled in June; 14. 2% alcohol) Complex, leesy, exotic aromas of hazelnut, roasted grain, smoked meat and honey. Fat, thick and sweet, with an explosion of fresh and dried apricot and pineapple. Finishes with a flavor of apricot nectar. This shows compelling sweetness but the residual sugar is actually a very low 1. 2 grams per liter. The crop level here was down 60% from a normal year, according to Philippe.
The powerful, fleshy 2003 Condrieu (two-thirds was aged in old oak and tank, and one-third in new oak) exhibits aromas of exotic fruits, peaches, lychee nuts, and apricots. Unctuously-textured with high alcohol (14.2%) and low acidity, it will provide plenty of pleasure over the next 1-2 years.
