2005 Bourgogne Pinot Fin

Much more ‘manly’ and savoury than the Darviot Perrin Bourgogne Rouge tasted immediately before it. Crackling texture, very fresh fruit. Lovely and round and yet very upright and crisp – excellent example of Côte de Nuits style. The fruit comes from vineyards between Nuits-St-Georges and Prémeaux apparently. Good territory in the hands of a master. (JR)
