Described by Johnny Graham as ‘breakfast port’! This was his first experience of a vintage year, the first since 1970 so everyone really wanted it to be good. Lighter style. Transparent ruby. Quite a spirity nose. Dry finish. Light on the end. Fast fade. (JR)

Looks very mature indeed – light ruby. Muddy, light nose. Sweet and spirity and this tasted much more developed than many 1970s, with a sort of boiled sweet character. (JR)
This house tends to produce quite full-bodied, rich, alcoholic, spirited vintage ports that never have a great deal of complexity or finesse but offer meaty, chocolaty, spicy, full-bodied, alcoholic flavors at the expense of elegance. The 1975 is light, a little alcoholic, and not terribly distinguished.
A pleasing wine, but lacks intensity, like many '75s. Light ruby-red, perfumed cherry aromas, light-bodied, with fresh fruit flavors and light tannins, slightly dry on the finish. –James Suckling , Wine Spectator 1989
