Note di degustazione
Good deep glossy crimson. Hint of gaminess on the nose. Thick and sweet – a bit too sweet, almost a hint of brett. Very awkward chunky tannins on the finish. Very hard work. (JR)

A sleeper of the vintage produced by this superbly run property, proprietor Corrine Guisez has turned out a 2001 nearly as good as the 2000. It possesses an inky/ruby/purple color as well as superb aromas of creosote, blackberries, currants, and licorice. This dense, medium-bodied St.-Emilion displays striking purity, remarkable elegance, and loads of flavor and texture. As it sits in the glass, additional notes of melted licorice and smoky cassis fruit become apparent. Drink this beauty now and over the next decade.
