1989 Cote Rotie La Voniere

The 1989 La Voniere (blended with Viognier) exhibits a knockout bouquet of spring flowers and raspberries, smooth, honeyed flavors, and a wonderful, open-knit, round, in-your-face style. It carries its heart on its sleeve and there is not much behind the huge opening impression this wine makes, but wow, for drinking over the next 4-6 years, this is a real stunner. Last tasted 11/95.
