The current release of the NV Champagne Brut was disgorged in May 2022. Softly aromatic with apple blossoms, fresh bread dough, and tangerine, it is medium-bodied, with a delicate mousse, and is fresh with orchard fruit, pear, and lifting citrus. Pleasantly refreshing, this will make for a well-balanced aperitif over the next 6 to 8 years.

The classic NV Brut is based on a blend of Chardonnay (50%), Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier fermented and aged in oak for six months, but there is no malolactic fermentation. The recent issue is based on the 2013 vintage and 40% reserve wines from a solera and opens with a clear yet pretty reductive bouquet. Fresh, clear and straight on the palate, this is a refreshing Champagne with a filigreed structure and a dry, stimulating finish. Tasted April 2018.
Always oak and no malolactic fermentation. Based on 2009 with some reserve from 2008. Dosage 10 g/l. 50% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir, 25% Meunier. In wood but no malo. A little muted and dull on the nose compared with the rest. Solid and a bit sweeter. An interesting contrast! (JR)
