2007 Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs

Blanc de Blancs will be made only in suitable years now (compared with past practice). The 2004 and 2005 in the cellar 'won't come to market'. No malo. Still a little simple on the nose. Pretty marked acidity and still a little astringent. A bit too tight and chewy now. Launched late 2012 or early 2013, which was perhaps a little early. (JR)

Tasted blind. Tiny, tiny bead - like faint tracing in the sky. Light meat and two vegy aroma. Some aromatic integration. A bit austere. Pretty hard work but it should come right in the end. Feb 2016, www.jancisrobinson.com, Drink: 2018-2021

Complex green apple, herb and bready tones with some oxidative notes. Seems tense, coiled like a spring. Lovely texture and elegance with a nutty, floral finish. Needs food to fully express itself. Jun 2015, www.decanter.com, Drink: 2015-2020
