AP number 04 16. Heavier and denser on the nose than the 2012. Lots of untamed green-apple acidity and crunchy juiciness. Clean but embryonic. (JR)

Light note of spontaneous fermentation on the nose with masses of broad fruit. Correct with a lime streak. QGV (JR)
That special J J Prüm scent is beginning to find its equilibrium. The customary herbaceous note has mellowed into a gently minty and fumy composition to add complexity to the fragrance of ripe local fruit. There is nothing ostentatious about the nose, but the palate is still very tactile, almost astringent with minerality, adding quite a bite to the juicy expression of grapefruit and peach. (MS)
Wonderfully complex and lifted aromas of spice, reductive smokiness, just a light hint of Riesling's special TDN mature aroma – a bit like kerosene. But still with fresh fruit, both lemon and lime. On the palate, all those aromas are picked up and expressed in a perfect sweetness/acid balance. Hint of sour honey on the finish. Keeps on revealing more in the glass. (JH)
