Note di degustazione
Mid ruby. Pale rim. Heady, animal nose. Jewel-sweet fruit and quite an aggressive attack. Still quite edgy. For the moment it could do with a little more concentration in the middle. But it’s certainly sweet at the beginning. Not the most refreshing but very confident and vigorous. Reminds me a bit of the 1980. Some light tannins evident on the end. Still resolving itself but admirably transparent. (JR)

The 1994 Chateau Musar is a sweet and relatively sexy Musar on opening, with some brett nuances (surprise!), but nice fruit and a chocolate-y note in the background. Early on, I didn’t think this would show much power, but 2 ½ hours of air changed my mind on that. There is more muscle here than seems apparent at first. It eventually seemed tightly wound. It should age well and it shows fine balance. As it aired, the bretty notes became more prominent, an understandable distraction for those who object to them. Drink now-2025.
