Note di degustazione
The 2006 Cote Rotie from this small family estate sports a healthy ruby color as well as fresh, medium-bodied notes of black cherries, damp earth, dry-aged beef and blackberries. It’s certainly in its drink window, with some maturity, yet it blossoms with time in the glass, has plenty of fruit and should keep for 7-8 years. It's a beautiful, classic Cote Rotie.

Transparent but a little smudgy. Tannins very heavy and a bit brutal. (JR)
Light red. Raspberry and Asian spices on the nose, lifted by sexy mace and allspice qualities; this smells like a fruitcake. Supple red berry and cherry flavors are complemented by floral pastilles and clove, reminding me a pinot noir. A juicy, elegant wine that is delicious today but balanced to age.
Fresh peppery bramble fruit. Fresh, powdery fine but present tannins. Restrained in every way but also gently perfumed on the mid palate and lingering finish. Easy to underestimate because of its restraint. Elegant. (JH)
