53% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot. Still-lively ruby. Lightly sweet, digestive biscuit nose. Fully resolved tannins with a bit of life – fruit and freshness. Mellow pleasure at a decent price. Long and extremely well behaved. Well bought. GV (JR)

Very dark. Quite dramatic. Sweet and rich – I would have guessed 2003 blind. Very sweet and could be very satisfying up in the air (written at a BA tasting). A little lacking in freshness on the ground but good for flying. A bit overripe on the nose and very slightly bretty? Sweet cassis gums and cuts off a little at the end. (JR)
45% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc Not a very forward nose. A ripe version of a classic Haut-Médoc taste. Fresh acidity and dark fruits at the end. (MJ)
Mid smudgy ruby/crimson. Slightly charred oak nose on respectable, if pretty pinched, fruit. Green tannins on the finish. Hard work. Relatively light and, just, less than fully ripe. A bit austere. Probably exactly what Nature delivered and no-one has worked too hard to counter it. Sandy tannins predominate. Very dry finish. (JR)
