Note di degustazione
The excellent 2003 Cote Rotie Les Becasses offers medium-bodied, elegant notes of tapenade, blackberries, cherries, graphite, and earth. Low tannin as well as acidity in addition to a nice plumpness suggest it should be drunk over the next 5-7 years.

Medium red color. Spicy, vibrant aromas of red berries and graphite lifted by mineral tones. Fresh in the mouth, especially for the vintage, with a floral nuance adding interest. Finishes plump, juicy and persistent.
Ruby-red. Roasted, porty aromas of black cherry, licorice and earth. Fat, broad and structured; concentrated but quite dry today, with dominant flavors of wood and damp earth. I get little Cote-Rotie character today, but this sample may simply be very low in SO2 Judgment deferred.
