2009 Romanee St Vivant

Good bright, dark red. Dark berries, violet and a whiff of fresh peppercorn on the nose, complicated by mineral and oak notes. Sweet, creamy fruit is given definition by firm acidity. Suave, fine-grained, essentially round wine, showing the deeper pitch of the warm year. Finishes with subtly powerful, building length and fully ripe tannins.
