Solid savoury nose with a hint of liquorice. Lots of acidity – not nearly as charming as the 1999 – pretty tough and cussed really. Put it away, please! Pretty dry finish but ultra-correct and clean. Suffered initially from being served immediately after the 1999. Very cool in many senses. (JR)
