Note di degustazione
They think the NV 20 Year Old Tawny Port is perfect for their style, which is not too oxidative and not very volatile, the profile of much older wines, and they have a balance between youth and age, fruit and nuts. This has a lot of complexity and some liqueur notes, mixing the best of both worlds. It's intense, powerful and elegant, nuanced and complex, with a velvety palate, volume and density. It's long and tasty, with a lifted finish. Superb. Many people think these wines don't age in bottle, but I love it with the same time in bottle as in wood (20+20 year!).

Very pale tawny colour. Bright and almost saline on the nose, bringing a maderised quality with blood orange, figs, and spice box. Complex and refined, the sweetness is tempered. (TP)
Same background as the 10 Year Old but the average age is much higher. Light brick with more orange in the colour. The aroma moves away from red fruit to orange here, though it is a journey not a destination. This is gorgeous: ineffable harmony that still has lovely fruit but is just showing that more nutty character. Creamy, viscously smooth but not viscously thick. Utterly complete in itself. More nutty on the finish so that it starts to taste drier. Perfect pitch. (JH)
Pretty golden orange. Sweet, almost mild, gentle dried-apricot flavour. Wonderfully subtle yet still with a tangy freshness on the finish. (JH)
