Dark red. Redcurrant, cherry and rhubarb on the nose, with complicating notes of candied anise and cracked pepper. Shows very good depth of red fruit flavors but also possesses a weightless quality, with sexy floral and spice notes and silky texture. The finish, which has excellent clarity and tangy persistence, leaves an echo of bitter rhubarb. This bottling (L10127) also has a gold capsule and is made from fruit from Bessards and Meal.

Vivid red. Intensely perfumed aromas of raspberry and cherry, with a zesty mineral undertone and a mounting floral quality. Bitter cherry and licorice flavors start out bitter but gain sweetness with air and show uncommon power for the vintage. The firm, lingering finish is sweet, focused and spicy. This will be the red-capsule blend and comes from vines in Bessards and Meal.
