Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2022-2035, Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, Sep 2022

Sunshine yellow in color. The 2009 Le Mont Moelleux is starting to develop with a touch of tangy, lime marmalade, honey and toast with the acid roar of a tiger. It is round yet focused and precise; power pushes this wine on and on. It remains super youthful and will go on and on and on and on...

Utterly delicious nose of sweetcorn, cooked lemon, butter, wax and honey. Still electric with acidity. Long, luscious, flowery finish. Pure and delicious and going incredibly strong at nearly ten years old. (RH)

Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2030-2060, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Oct 2016

The golden-yellow 2009 Vouvray Le Mont Moelleux has a fascinating subtle and aromatic bouquet of perfectly ripe and gently stewed fruits intertwined with biscuit, confiture and caramel notes, as well as lemony flinty aromas. Smooth, round and very elegant, with great finesse and balance, this is a a very piquant and salty moelleux with a persistent and aromatic, yet purely mineral and tension-filled finish. The 2009 is very stimulating also due to the delicate yet firm tannins. This is an age-worthy Chenin that is only slowly starting to unfold its charms.

Wonderful lush, broad nose with butter, baked apple, tingling acidity and a burnt sugar note on the length. Open and charming. (RH)
