Unfortunately, samples tasted displayed a musty, damp cellar, old, funky wood character that dominated the wine's aromatic personality. Lamentable, because otherwise, Certan de May's 1993 possesses considerable color pigmentation, a ripe, full-bodied, powerful constitution, and moderate tannin in a long, forceful, authoritatively-flavored finish.
