Mid ruby. Very sweet, almost syrupy nose. Much fresher than the 2011 with rather appealing, interesting perfumes in the violets/mushrooms spectrum. Lovely appetising freshness, but also a bit of dryness, on the finish. A hit! (JR)

Bright crimson. Rich, a hint of coffee (very unusual in 2010s) – plays to the gallery somewhat but if that means delivering pleasure... Intense and very fruity but with structure too. Acidity not very evident. Big and bold and winning. Not for purists but would be great for neophytes. (JR)
