Note di degustazione
The 2002 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Boudots 1er Cru from Domaine Méo-Camuzet offers red fruit, wild hedgerow and damp loamy scents on the nose, very elegant in style, very refined. The palate is supple and quite plush for an ’02, raspberry and blackcurrant with an extremely harmonious and composed finish. This is drinking beautifully now, but I am surprised by its precocity. Tasted blind at The Arches in London.

Bright red-ruby. Roasted red berries and woodsmoke on the nose. Sweet, fat, lush and full, with an almost liqueur-like ripeness. Dense, but not as stuffed as the young 2003. This shows the creamy sweetness of the barrel sample I tasted last fall, but seems less vibrant today. Finishes with a slight dry edge.
Bright ruby-red. Perfumed aromas of dark berries, minerals and violet. Creamy-sweet and surprisingly open today, but with racy acids framing the juicy flavors of kirsch, dark berries, espresso and minerals. Finishes very long and aromatic. A highly successful vintage for this wine.
