Punteggio 16/20 · Da bere 2000-2006, Jancis Robinson MW, Jul 2009

50:50 Marsanne:Roussanne. Full and even quite spicy nose. Fully evolved. Mid greenish gold. The 'gumminess' and rich almond paste of Marsanne seems more obvious on the nose than the fragrance of the Roussanne. Then a little austere and fruitless on the palate. The nose is definitely more appealing than the palate, which seems to me to be losing fruit. A bit heavy and ponderous on the finish. Fades a bit fast. It may resurrect itself and simply be in a dumb phase but I wouldn't bet on it. It fell apart in the glass and astringency took over. (JR)

Punteggio 90/100 · Da bere 1997-2017, Robert Parker, Oct 1997

This firm's biggest and richest white wine is the Hermitage Chevalier de Sterimberg. The 1995 offers a whiff of white flowers, honey, and cherry notes. This full-bodied, muscular, tightly knit wine is just hinting at its overall potential. It is still delicious, but if it is not drunk within 1-3 years of release, it is best cellared for 10-15 years. It has the potential to last for two decades or more. Importer: Frederick Wildman, New York, NY; tel. (212) 355-0700
