Note di degustazione
The 2022 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Ursules (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) unwinds in the glass with aromas of sweet berries, cherries, spices and vine smoke. Medium to full-bodied, layered and seamless, with sweet, powdery tannins and a long, spicy finish, this site, an enclave in Vignes Franches that's one of the house's emblematic wines, always performs well.

Jadot's Clos des Ursules was a bit of a disappointment in 2022 – it seems to lack a bit of the ripeness that it enjoyed in 2020; there is an appropriate raspberry fruit and complexity from hints of violets, eucalyptus, and earth, but there Is none of the heady complexity and fruit of the 2020 vintage. The wine has abundant extract on the palate, giving the wine complexity and depth. I suggest waiting at least five years to see if this opens up.
Monopole. Cask sample. Mid crimson. Very attractive hint of violets on the nose. Already pretty charming with its floral fruit and fine, well-managed tannins. One of the more obviously sweet wines. (JR)

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
