Vivid and bright with lemon zest, ripe apples and some cream on the palate. Medium body, fresh acidity and a steely finish. Drink now.

Strong, rather fetching aroma of bruised apples. Then very marked acidity. Most unusual! Could be very refreshing on a summer's day. (JR)
The 2016 G de Chateau Guiraud has a crisp grass clipping and limestone-scented bouquet that is nicely defined, although I would like to see more vigor. The palate is crisp on the entry with a touch of lemongrass, a pleasant edginess here with satisfying weight on the finish that just needs a touch more focus to develop before bottling.
This is still a bit tight, with a racy lemon pith frame around the core of white peach, tangerine, chamomile and straw flavors. Shows weight and zip, and should fill out nicely. Apr 2017, James Molesworth, www.winespectator.com
