Youthful purple. Vibrant blue fruit, violet, exotic spice and mineral aromas are complicated by suggestions of olive and woodsmoke. Juicy and energetic on the palate, offering concentrated black raspberry, boysenberry and floral pastille flavors and a hint of candied licorice. Lively and focused on the long, penetrating finish, which is given shape by smooth, fine-grained tannins.

Medium-bodied, lightly textured, and elegant, drink this lively, ethereally styled Syrah on release and over the following 8-10 years.
100% Syrah. Tasted blind. Smoked meat, black pepper, plum and bramble fruit. Perhaps a bit of reduction on the palate leaves a rubbery note, but otherwise there is plenty of freshness and an easy, light-bodied structure ready for early drinking. Just needs a few months to settle into bottle. (RH)
