Note di degustazione
The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Mes Cinq Terroirs comes from parcels in the north of the appellation with 30% whole bunches. Very impressive intensity on the nose, this is well-defined, crushed stone and citrus scents, the former becoming more prominent with time. The palate is medium-bodied with finely chiselled tannins, pixelated in definition, not powerful but tensile on the steely finish. Excellent.

The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Mes Cinq Terroirs wafts from the glass with aromas of dark berries, plums, sweet spices, licorice and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, with a concentrated core of fruit, powdery tannins and a saline finish, it was cropped at 14 hectoliters per hectare.
A more restrained if less elegant nose is comprised by notes of herbal tea, red and dark cherry and plenty of earth character along with a hint of the sauvage. The solidly concentrated and highly energetic middleweight flavors possess a positively gorgeous texture that carries over to the firm, youthfully austere and beautifully long finish. This stony and overtly powerful Gevrey villages will definitely need at least some forbearance. Recommended
