Vivid purple. Highly expressive aromas of black raspberry, blood orange, potpourri and Asian spices. Very fresh and focused, with a silky texture to the sweet red berry flavors. Becomes sappier with air and finishes with lingering notes of violet and candied rose. I really like this wine's energy and linear character.

Darker and riper than La Landonne though not yet very expressive and quite leafy. Peppery and herbal on the palate, combined with edgy bright fruit and a peppery aftertaste. Fine fine tannins, lively and with marked minerality. Could do with a little more flesh – pretty linear at the moment. Good persistence. (JH)
