2008 Chateau Marojalia Margaux

Complex aromas of spring flowers, blackberries, blueberries, licorice and pain grille jump from the glass of this dark ruby/purple-colored, outstanding effort along with a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel. Consume it over the next 12-15+ years.

Black as black. Oaky char on the nose. Fresh, slightly leafy fruit character but in a dense mould. Not leafy in a fragrant style. Very dark, almost bitter on the finish with such firm extraction. Needs a lot more time. You have to admire its concentration even if you don't like its style. (JH)
