The 2017 Cap St. George is rich and fruity, with plenty of depth and palate presence. Blackberry jam, chocolate and spice notes add to an impression of darkness. I would prefer to drink it over the next handful of years.

Deepest crimson with plenty of black fruit on the nose and a note of cigar box. Tangy black fruit on the palate, smooth and rounded with moderate length. Perhaps just a little sour on the finish. (JH)
The 2017 Cap St George is deep garnet-purple colored with an earthy nose of tilled soil, mossy bark and underbrush with a core of red and black plums. The palate is medium-bodied and just a little lean in the middle with a chewy frame and attenuated finish.
