Note di degustazione
The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Roncière 1er Cru feels more advanced on the nose than a four-year old wine. Not unattractive, but seems hellbent on progressing to secondary scents of leather and undergrowth. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, very smooth and quite high-toned, with an opulent and slightly alcoholic finish. Picked three or four days too late? Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 red tasting.

The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Roncière 1er Cru is perhaps the one cru that leaves me wanting a little more substance and complexity on the nose. It does not quite take off from the glass like its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a slightly creamy texture, a savory-tinged finish and a saline aftertaste. Not bad overall, just a tad rough around the edges at the moment.
