Note di degustazione
The 2019 Quintus has quite a high-toned and outgoing bouquet with liquorice and tinged black fruit. Quite powerful, this gains more cohesion with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied, very well balanced, with sappy, pure black fruit laced with minerals and a precise if glossy finish. Wonderful. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting.

Tasted blind. Sweet and rich and very St-Émilion with masses of pleasure. Lots of intensity and first-growth aspirations. Really buzzes with life! Persistent and detailed. (JR)
Sweet and thick with the acidity not quite integrated. Hot finish. Thick and sweet and not necessarily better than Dragon. Hard work and very hot on the end. (JR)
The 2019 Château Quintus is brilliant and does everything right in the vintage. Loaded with ripe red and black cherry fruits as well as notes of white truffle, leafy herbs, baking spices, and tobacco, it hits the palate with a stunningly balanced, full-bodied profile delivering gorgeous tannins, the purity and freshness of the vintage, and a great finish. Coming from the Dillon team, this is Saint-Emilion brilliance that's already approachable yet will cruise for another 20-25 years. Bravo.
