2019 Morey St.-Denis 1er Cru Les Blanchards 0,75 l Arlaud

The 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis Les Blanchards 1er Cru is another Premier Cru that is initially quite backward and demanded coaxing, unfolding with blackberry, blueberry and crushed iris aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent tannins that belie the tannic backbone. A little more masculine and more grippy than the Millandes, it has slightly more persistence in the mouth. Excellent.
