Note di degustazione
Bright, dark red. Pungent mineral lift to the aromas of raspberry, chalk and dusty stone. Then sweet, broad, fat and seamless but energized by a piquant note of orange peel. Utterly fine-grained wine with terrific inner-mouth tension and finesse. Finishes extremely long, with suave tannins dusting the front teeth.

The 2014 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru les Amoureuses has a much tighter bouquet than the 2013 that I tasted last year and despite coaxing, it refuses to come out and play. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin, a little sappy in the mouth with a grippy finish that needs to forage more finesse. A bit hard at the moment.
They made two casks in 2014 (three in 2015). 2013 was the first vintage. Mid crimson. Tense and racy but fabulous silky fruit. Dry finish but lots of potential. Super. Long. Very exciting. (JR)
