More toasty at this stage than La Landonne, the 2023 Côte-Rôtie La Côte Blonde unwinds in the glass with aromas of spice, dark and blue berries, pepper, iris and violet, the oak still perceptible in its youth. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and structured, it is seamless yet powerful, built around a deep, concentrated core of fruit framed by abundant, velvety tannins, concluding with an expansive, ethereal finish. Entirely vinified with whole clusters, its stem-inflected profile will require time in bottle to fully integrate and reveal its finest nuances.

The 2023 Côte Rôtie Côte Blonde brings a touch more ripeness and exuberance than the Ampodium cuvée, offering exotic red and black fruits, spring flowers, graphite, and crushed stone-like minerality on the nose. Medium to full-bodied, layered, and silky on the palate, it has beautiful tannins, a juicy, lively mouthfeel, and a gorgeous finish. It's pure Côte Blonde in its perfume, complexity, and elegance.
