Note di degustazione
Full bottle just 1,247 g. Deep gold. Some real development on the nose and the merest hint of TDN. Just the right amount of pure Riesling fruit sweetness to counterbalance the acidity. Lovely balance and life. Mountain-stream impression. (JR)

Pale green. Earthier and more open nose. Juicy, open, somewhat floral nose. Limy. Quite open, without the race of the Wehlener Sonnenuhr. (JR)
The bigger, thicker, broader 2001 Riesling Spatlese Graacher Himmelreich is the masculine, broad-shouldered brother of the feminine, elegant Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spatlese. White chocolate, sage, smoky minerals, and poached pears can be found in its rich aromas. Medium-bodied, velvety-textured, and soft, it is a large, dense offering with copious quantities of poached pear, slate, gun flint, candied lemon and red currant flavors. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2020. Importer: Chapin Cellars, Springfield, VA; tel. (703) 455-4700
