Expressive nose combines soft citrus fruits, yellow peach and smoky minerality, plus a whiff of pineapple; comes across as more precise than the Remilly owing to its strong fruit character. At once sweet and lively, with saline minerality underpinning citrus and stone fruit flavors. Finishes lively and very long, with a sexy sweetness and sappy concentration. Colin describes the '15s as "more delicious" than the '16s, and this wine could be Exhibit A.

Cask sample. Racked in September for bottling in March 2017. ‘Parcel in a cocoon!' Spicy and much lighter and looser than the Blanchots-Dessus I have just tasted. Silky and lifted, with heady nose. Chewy end. (JR)
Sexy aromas of yellow peach, hazelnut and toast complicated by smoky, nutty oak tones; very different from Colin's wines from Chassagne-Montrachet. Silky and fine-grained, conveying an impression of inner-mouth lift and moderate alcohol. A touch of smoky minerality on the slowly building back end gives this wine a shapely quality for the vintage.
