Punteggio 94+/100 · Da bere 2022-2037, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jan 2020

The 2017 Zinfandel Rattlesnake Ridge is fabulous. A rich, powerful and structured wine, the Rattlesnake Ridge is a Zinfandel built for the cellar. There is a real sense of verticality and savoriness that runs through the Rattlesnake. Incense, lavender, inky dark fruit, spice and leather all burst out of the glass as this powerful Zinfandel shows what it's got. And it has plenty - this is a wine of tremendous character and personality.

Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2019-2035, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Mar 2019

From vines planted at an elevation of 2,400 feet, the 2017 Zinfandel Rattlesnake Ridge has a very deep ruby-black color and aromas of perfumed earth and crème de cassis with dense black fruit preserves at the core, plus charcuterie, meat and herbs hints. Full-bodied and huge in the mouth, with very dense, lush, ripe and perfumed black fruits, it has firm framing tannins and wonderful juicy acidity, finishing very long and layered. 1,200 cases produced.

Punteggio 91-94/100 · Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2018

The 2017 Zinfandel Rattlesnake Ridge is marked by strong mineral and savory signatures. Lavender, sage, menthol, crushed rocks and grilled herbs infuse the Rattlesnake with tremendous nuance and flavor intensity. Readers will have to be patient. The imposing tannins need time to soften. Powerful and dramatic in the glass, the Rattlesnake is hugely promising today, not to mention a wine of tremendous character.
