Medium bright red. Knockout nose combines wild blueberry, coffee, Oriental spices and smoked meat. Seamless, suave and energetic, offering an uncanny combination of opulence and underlying spine. Best today on the explosive mounting finish, which offers outstanding verve, a sexy oak spice component and serious tannic structure. This will reward a good 10 to 12 years of aging.
Good bright, deep red. Raspberry, minerals, flowers and smoke on the soil-driven nose. Silky on entry, then broad, elegant and deep, with vibrant flavors of dark berries, blood orange and minerals. This really fills the mouth with perfume and saturates the palate on the aftertaste, but there's no excess weight here. The very fine tannins are in perfect harmony with the wine's fruit. This will benefit from eight to ten years of cellaring.
