Note di degustazione
Opaque and brooding in the glass, the 2022 Lynch-Bages combines weighty fruit density with muscular, grippy tannins. Condensed raspberry and huckleberry notes sit on top of more subtle liquorice and faint fresh tobacco. The overall impression of the wine is one that it packed to the rafters with raw material which will take some time to integrate and harmonise but is going to blossom in bottle. Blend: 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc

The 2022 Lynch-Bages has real class on the nose: blackberry, bilberry, graphite and light minerally notes, with much more freshness and vibrancy here. The palate is very well balanced with fine tannins, real intensity and just as much elegance, persistent with a captivating, quite spicy finish. This is an outstanding Lynch-Bages for the ages. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting in London.
The 2022 Lynch-Bages is one of the most muscular, chunky wines of the vintage in the Médoc, offering up aromas of dark berries, cherry preserve, pencil shavings and creamy new oak, followed by a full-bodied, rich and extracted palate that's dense and blocky. While Lynch-Bages always seems to come together with time, the 2022 is certainly going to require some patience.
66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. Aged for 18 months in oak barrels (75% new). Purple-black colour. Fragrant nose with notes of dark fruit and spice. Sumptuous palate, the fruit full and suave, the tannins firm but fine and integrated. Real depth and concentration. Powerful and long on the finish. Not quite fully knit but huge potential. (JL) (Drink between 2034-2060) 18+/20 points
