Tasted blind. Sweet cassis aromas, and then rather a charred impression on the palate. Very drying end. (JR)

I love the freshness and purity of fruit on offer with bright raspberries but also blackcurrants and rose petals. Very sexy on the palate with bright acidity, lazor-sharp tannins and a fine-grained finish. A blend of 75% merlot, 20% cabernet franc and 5% cabernet sauvignon. Drink in 2021.
The 2015 Château La Couspaude is a beauty! Offering a deep ruby/plum color as well as terrific notes of black cherry liqueur, strawberries, spice and toasty oak, it’s medium-bodied, textured and nicely balanced on the palate, with fine tannin. It’s not the most complex wine out there, but man is it a delicious drink. I suspect it will keep for at least a decade.
Mid crimson. Plenty of sweet oaky spice on the nose but scented with dark fruit too and a touch minty. The oak is a little drying on the palate at the moment, with a dark-chocolate finish, but it is fruity as well as chewy and should all settle down. (JH)
