Note di degustazione
The 1983 Laville Haut-Brion Blanc has a splendid nose with Mirabelle, chamomile and dried honey scents that deftly entrances its audience. Like all the best vintages, this gains complexity and nuance in the glass. The palate is harmonious, pure and sapid with lemon rind, stem ginger, chamomile and a touch of white tea that segues into a lemon sherbet-tinged finish. I absolutely adore this dry white Bordeaux, and it comes highly recommended.

The 1983 Laville Haut-Brion has a wonderful bouquet of orange blossom, beeswax, honeysuckle and linseed. This is nicely detailed and displays wonderful focus. The palate is very well balanced, with notes of orange zest, nectarine and yellow plum. There is an appealing waxy texture that develops on the second half. This 1983 is so harmonious, with flecks of white chocolate and almond towards the persistent finish. Tasted at a white Bordeaux-themed private dinner in London.
Deep and rich. Lightly smoky nose. Quite rich on the palate. Snazzy and broad. Quite chewy and massively tangy. Lemon curd. (JR)
The 1983 Laville-Haut-Brion (rated 90) is an elegant, classy, textbook Laville.
