Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2001-2011, Jeb Dunnuck, Aug 2006

The 1999 Château de Beaucastel Côtes du Rhône Coudoulet de Beaucastel offers up a big, full nose of roasted red fruit, licorice, leather, meat and spice that leads into a soft, medium to full bodied palate. Beautiful weight, great texture and a long finish. Just drinking amazingly well.

Punteggio 90/100 · Da bere 2003-2016, Robert Parker, Dec 2001

The slightly acidic 1999 Cotes du Rhone Coudoulet offers aromas of blackberry/cassis fruit infused with licorice, medium to full body, and noticeable Mourvedre (leather, tree bark, and spice notes). This supple 1999 is a candidate for 10-15 years of cellaring. It is a blend of 30% Mourvedre, 30% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 20% Cinsault, all aged in foudre prior to being bottled unfiltered.
