2015 Domaine Guyon Vosne-Romanée Les Brulees 1er Cru

The 2015 Vosne-Romanée Aux Brûlées 1er Cru has an overripe, prune-scented bouquet that suggests it may have been picked too late. The palate is chewy and solid, without finesse or delineation, and aggressive and lacking tension on the finish. This is a rather ham-fisted Premier Cru. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
