Luxurious. Rich and aromatic, balanced by acidity, white fruits, blossoms, candied peel, spices, mango, a pretty concentration of flavours and aromas.

Tasted blind. Lifted. A little nervy and unpredictable, edgy but with lots of true lively sweetness. (JR)
The 2015 Coutet has a sense of airiness on the nose, with yellow plum, white peach, light saffron scents and almond in the background. The palate is fresh on the entry with pure botrytized fruit, a keen countervailing line of acidity and hints of stem ginger toward the lingering, persistent finish. This is superb. Tasted blind at the 2015 Bordeaux Ten-Year-On tasting at Farr Vintners.
The 2015 Coutet has tightened up in recent years and seems to exhibit more of its limestone soils, which are taut, linear and very well-defined. Chai and chamomile hints emerge with time in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a viscous entry, fine acidity, freshness, tautness and a tangy marmalade-tinged finish. This is only just showing you what it is capable of. Tasted from an ex-château bottle served at the estate.
