The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Drew Vineyard is another mountain Cabernet that does everything right. Blackcurrants, blueberries, crushed stone, scrub brush, and graphite notes all define this inky colored, full-bodied beauty, which offers a rounded, expansive texture, silky tannins, and both richness and freshness. This is a beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon to hide for 4-5 years and enjoy over the following 20 years or more.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Drew Vineyard is a such a gorgeous wine. Powerful and delineated, with tons of Howell Mountain character, the 2018 is compelling. Naturally it needs a few years to soften, but there is plenty to look forward to. Blackberry jam, chocolate, licorice, spice, menthol, gravel and crème de cassis infuse the 2018 with remarkable intensity.
Lots of ripe black cherry and blackberry on the nose with cloves, licorice and fresh green peppercorns. It’s full-bodied with firm, tight-grained tannins. Lots of berry and bitter-chocolate flavors lead to a fresh, bright finish. Try from 2024.
The deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Drew Vineyard opens with a powerful nose of blackcurrant jelly, blueberry pie and baked plums with suggestions of beef drippings, black truffles, tapenade and iron ore. Full-bodied, the palate is concentrated, packed with baked black fruits and earthy/mineral layers and supported by firm, sturdy tannins plus just enough freshness, finishing long and ferrous.
