Note di degustazione
Still deep, rich, and incredibly concentrated, the ruby/plum colored 2002 Syrah Semour’s Vineyard gives up a massive bouquet of smoky black currants, asphalt, licorice, cured meats, and scorched earth. This big, rich, opulent, and incredibly full-bodied beauty opens up and gains more and more finesse with time in the glass, has sweet tannin, and a great finish. It’s mature, but just might be immortal in the cellar. You can safely drink this anytime over the coming 15-20 years from well stored bottles.

The inky/purple-colored 2002 Syrah Seymour’s Vineyard offers up a huge bouquet of scorched earth, creme de cassis, melted tar, camphor, and the entire black fruit spectrum. Superb, full-bodied flavors are expansive, rich, profoundly concentrated, and velvety textured. Two to three years of patience is warranted for this glorious Syrah. It should easily last 12-15 years. There are 250 six-packs of this marvelous 2002, which comes mostly from hilltop sites. Most of these wines are sold via Alban’s mailing list, so if you love Rhone Ranger wines, it’s time to enjoy these remarkable offerings. Tel. (805) 546-0305; Fax (805) 546-9879
